Dr. Sanja Tarczay, President of the Croatian Association of Deafblind Persons DODIR, President of the World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB), and First Vice-President of the International Disability Alliance (IDA), will present key advocacy tools that advance the rights and inclusion of deafblind persons worldwide. The keynote will explore practical resources, international reports, and strategic advocacy approaches, with a special focus on the successful global campaign led by WFDB under her leadership to secure the United Nations recognition of the International Day of Deafblindness. This historic achievement serves not only as a milestone for the deafblind community, but also as a powerful advocacy tool for increasing global visibility, awareness, and recognition of deafblind persons and their rights.
