Mental health and well-being are deeply influenced by our ability to connect with others, participate in meaningful activities, and feel that we belong. For deafblind people, barriers to communication, access, and social inclusion can affect these opportunities, but they do not define their potential. Drawing on research, professional practice, and real-life experiences, this keynote will explore how relationships, community participation, self-determination, and accessible support contribute to wellbeing. Through stories of resilience, achievement, and everyday life, it will highlight practical pathways for creating more inclusive environments where deafblind people can connect, participate, and thrive throughout their lives.
